Terms of Service

Operator: Hong Kong AI International Film Festival Association (「the Association」)

1. Acceptance

By using the HKAIIFF · HACK platform (https://hkaiiff.net, the 「Platform」), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Service

The Platform is the official system for hackathon registration, submissions, jury workflows, recommendation seats, and public showcases for the Hong Kong AI International Film Festival hackathon. The Association may modify features, schedules, or city rules with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

Provide accurate contact information and keep credentials secure.
Participants under 18 must complete the Guardian Consent process.
Impersonation, bulk fake accounts, or abuse of the system is prohibited.

4. Participant obligations

Submissions must be original or properly licensed; no infringement of third-party rights.
Complete the AI interview registration honestly and follow on-site rules.
Do not distribute unlawful, defamatory, or harmful content via the Platform.

5. Recommendation seats

「HKAIIFF city recommendation seats」 are evaluation labels only — not monetary payouts, equity arrangements, or employment offers. Public display depends on your registration consents and Association approval.

6. Intellectual property

Copyright in works remains with creators, subject to the non-exclusive display licence granted to the Association (see Copyright & Licensing).
Platform software, branding, and UI belong to the Association or licensors.

7. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided 「as is」 to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Association is not liable for indirect losses arising from networks or third-party services.

8. Suspension

The Association may suspend accounts for violations. You may request account cessation; lawfully published archive content may be retained per policy.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Hong Kong courts.
